Everybody knows how important is to travel safely, especially now that we all live in a global village where every single part of the world is just a click away. Sensitive to this issue, in addition to adopting air filtering systems (backed up by regular and thorough maintenance) for the air conditioning and heating systems, that ensure our guests to live in a hygienic and hypoallergenic environment, we installed a plant for the prophylaxis of legionellosis. Let’s take a second to explain what this is about. Legionellosis is an infection caused by a bacterium called “legionella” which affects the respiratory system of human beings. It is transmissible by aerosol and/or hydraulic lines. It’s been shown by detailed studies that in closed or semi closed environments frequented by many people at the same time, the danger of contamination and transmission is very high. Some of them, such as airplanes, for example, thanks to the “forced” coexistence of individuals in a closed environment, all sharing the same air and water, are particularly at risk. Same thing can be said about hotels. Our system, through theproduction and exact dosing of chlorine dioxide on the reintegration of hot water system with continuous analysis of water itself, is able to cut down the risk of Legionnaire’s disease.
